You’re invited to spend an evening at Capgemini’s Applied Innovation Exchange on Thursday, April 27, with sustainability thought leaders and changemakers to celebrate the Ecological Footprint Explorer launch and discuss the crucial role of data to effectively advance sustainability. What is the Ecological Footprint Explorer?
Every year, Global Footprint Network produces a new edition of its National Footprint Accounts, which measure the renewable natural resource use and resource capacity of countries from 1961 to the present. Based on approximately 15,000 data points per country per year, this data has been used to influence policy in more than a dozen countries, including Ecuador, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Russia, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.
This year, for the first time ever, the Footprint Accounts will be available online in their entirety for anyone to download on our open source platform: the Ecological Footprint Explorer. The Footprint Explorer site will officially launch on April 5, when Global Footprint Network also will release the 2017 edition of its National Footprint Accounts.
