Dear Partners and Colleagues,
We invite you to take part in the public comment period for the Ecological Footprint Standards 2009. Over the last six years, Global Footprint Network and its network of over 100 partner organizations has expanded its reach and influence among decision makers throughout the world. As Ecological Footprint Analysis continues to become more widely applied, our Standards Committee has initiated an update to our methodological Standards for population, organizational, and product studies.
The Ecological Footprint Standards Committee and Global Footprint Network are seeking general and technical comments from all interested parties with a view to further enhancing the draft Standards. After the public comment period and the consideration and incorporation of public comments, the revised Standards will be published this summer.
The current draft Standards 2009 can be downloaded here. In order to aid the commenting process, a comments template is also provided. All comments should be submitted using this template. The completed template should be emailed to Standardscomments@footprintnetwork.org no later than 9th May 2009.
