In a joint collaboration, ESRI’s ArcGIS Map Stories and Global Footprint Network created Our Global Footprint | Map Stories for the upcoming Eye on Earth Summit taking place from December 12 through 15, 2011, in Abu Dhabi. Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the Summit will enable global leaders, decision-makers and innovators to issues critical to the world’s expanding environmental and social data. The Summit is facilitated by Abu Dhabi Global Environmental Data Initiative (AGEDI) and hosted by Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The EoE Summit brings together representatives from government, business, science, civil society and academia to showcase “best-impact’ examples of geospatial and environmental data technologies, projects and creative innovations. ESRI Program Manager Allen Carrol, former VP of maps at National Geographic, along with Mathis Wackernagel, Co-Founder and President of Global Footprint Network, will present Our Global Footprint |Map Stories at the EonE Summit.
