Australian Earth Laws Alliance
Workshop: Let's Talk About Consumption

March 4, 2016, 9am - 6pm
Room 104, Melbourne Law School, 185 Pelham Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Our partner organization, Australian Earth Laws Alliance, is inviting individuals, community groups, environmental NGOs, regulators, academics and others to their interactive workshop in Melbourne, to discuss the problems caused by unsustainable consumption and map out collective strategies for reducing consumption in Australia. Attendees are invited to share achievements and frustrations in trying to tackle unsustainable consumption, and provide views about the role of law and regulation in supporting a sustainable consumption future. Join the workshop for a positive, informative day of discussion and strategy development.

This workshop is part of a national series of workshops and publications being coordinated by AELA in 2015 and 2016. The ideas, case studies and recommendations generated by participants around Australia will form part of a major publication series, aimed at supporting civil society initiatives and influencing public policy. This national workshop series is part of AELA's "Living within our Ecological Limits" Program.
