Global Footprint Network is pleased to announce the launch of the new and improved Footprint Forum, a partner-only intranet Web site. Built by our longtime web design team at ISPOT interactive, the new site features an updated, dynamic, and user-friendly social media interface for partner and standards committee communications. The Forum will provide opportunities for collaboration and shared learning, as well as enhance communication and resource sharing amongst partners about resource accounting and the Ecological Footprint. Sites such as Facebook and Twitter have shown that active participation through postings and discussions have the potential to change the world. We encourage partners to use this site as a means to network, spark discussions about current events and brainstorm strategies to bring us closer to our missions. Organizations interested in joining the Global Footprint Network partner community can visit our Web site to find out more about partnership.
Joining Global Footprint Network’s expanding partner network are: The Footprint Company from Australia, a sustainability performance consultancy with many years of Ecological Footprint experience. They specialize in Ecological and Life Cycle Carbon assessment of building design. Dutch Footprint Group from the Netherlands is a new social benefit organization continuing many years of ecological education and advocacy work in the country grounded in Ecological Footprint analyses. Finally, ALISOS, or Alianzas para la sostenibilidad, is a Colombia-based organization that works to achieve sustainability in Latin America through strategic multi-stakeholder dialogues and actions and through promoting a culture of sustainability that respects the limited capacity of the planet’s resources. ALISOS has been active in supporting Global Footprint Network’s 10-in-10 campaign in Colombia.
