Annual Gifts - The Leadership Circle

The Leadership Circle is Global Footprint Network’s core group of committed, visionary philanthropists who understand the entrepreneurial nature of our work to catalyze lasting systemic change. Donors who make annual gifts of $1,000 and more become a part of the Leadership Circle. Leadership Circle donors are invited to join us for special receptions, lunches, and talks.

Monthly Gifts - The Sustainers Circle

Donors who make monthly contributions provide a foundation for our day-to-day work throughout the year. All monthly donation amounts are greatly appreciated. Click here to set up an automatic monthly contribution through our online donation form.

Gifts of Stock

Giving stocks and bonds to Global Footprint Network can significantly increase our capacity to work towards sustainability. By donating appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares that have been owned for more than one year, U.S. supporters of Global Footprint Network can completely avoid capital gains tax. They also receive an income tax deduction for the fair market value of the gift. (Donors from other countries should consult with a tax authority to determine whether or not their gift of equities is tax deductible.)

To make a stock gift to Global Footprint Network, you may fill out our stock donation form, and forward it to your broker. Please contact our Development Department at 510-839-8879, ext. 319 or info@footprintnetwork.org to let us know that you have initiated this stock gift. Planned Gifts

Including Global Footprint Network in your planned giving is another valuable way to ensure the long-term sustainability of our work. Planned gifts include gifts through your will, charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, pooled income funds, and charitable trusts.

It's quite easy to make a lasting gift to Global Footprint Network. For example, you can include Global Footprint Network as a beneficiary:

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor corporate matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions that their employees make. With a matching gift from your employer, you may be able to double or even triple the size of your original gift. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. If your company has a matching gift program, contact your company’s human resources department to learn about your options. Companies have various methods by which you can submit your matching gift request -- online forms, automated phone systems, or a paper form that you submit to Global Footprint Network. If your company uses a paper matching gift form, please complete and sign the form and send it to Global Footprint Network along with your contribution, and we will take care of the rest. If you have given a gift recently or in this calendar year, you may still be able to ask your company to match it.

Giving a Gift in Someone's Honor or Memory

You can make a contribution to Global Footprint Network to honor someone special or in memory of a loved one. When such a gift is made, Global Footprint Network sends a handwritten note to the individual being honored, or to the person who should be notified of the gift.
