The Prix Nature Swisscanto Award was accepted by Mathis Wackernagel at the NATURAL gala in March 2013 in the Basel Congress Center. Wackernagel was awarded the prize for his work on the Ecological Footprint and his contribution to advancing sustainable development. The Swiss sustainability award honors individuals and institutions with achievements in the field of sustainable development in Switzerland. The award has three categories including main prize, hope bearer, and future generation.
